DIt is understandable that Dino Toppmöller has a great advocate in the family. His father Klaus has “absolutely” the junior to become head coach in the Bundesliga. The 71-year-old Toppmöller senior can judge that well: he was a successful coach himself, especially in his early days at Eintracht Frankfurt from mid-1993 and later at Bayer Leverkusen. In 2002, he finished second in the Champions League, in the cup and in the Bundesliga with the Werkself. Not to forget: the achieved UEFA Cup participation with VfL Bochum.
In a family comparison, Klaus Toppmöller sees it as an advantage that his son Dino, 42 years old and “fitness apostle”, “behaves calmer” on the sidelines than his father, who has lived out his emotionality.
