Circus shows, falconry, camel rides and medieval market this weekend in Alcalá

The Medieval Market returns to the center of Alcalá de Guadaíra. Falconry shows, camel rides, craft stalls, costumes, attractions for children, traditional food, workshops, theatre, parades and circus and musical entertainment this weekend in the downtown area.

Specifically, the Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council organizes again after the pandemic, between May 19 and 21, the traditional Medieval Market that will be located between Nuestra Señora del Águila street (La Mina) and Plaza del Duque.

The event will open to the public on Friday at 6:00 p.m. with the opening of the craft stalls, children’s workshops, playroom, children’s attractions (boat and medieval castle). At 7:30 p.m. there will be a musical parade with various instruments, juggling and a comic show. The exhibition of birds of prey, camel rides and archery workshop will be in operation from 7:30 p.m., with another parade scheduled for 9:00 p.m. with stilt walkers, street circus and representation of characters of the time such as the beggar medieval, closing the night with live music.

On Saturday and Sunday the Market will open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with the bulk of the attractions and workshops taking place from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. The artisan bread workshops at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, the Eagle’s flight at 1:30 p.m., the bird of prey exhibition at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, and the rides in camel in the afternoon both days, in addition to the fire show with public participation on Saturday night.

Likewise, the parades (magic and humor, musical and circus) will be held six times a day, at the beginning and closing of the morning schedule, and in the afternoon at 7:30 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and at closing time.
