Cheers at tennis in Rome

Ja, the behavior of some athletes is hard to bear. No, this is not about the acting troupe of AS Roma, who played the dying swan against Bayer Leverkusen in order to bring the poor performance over time.

It’s about tennis pros like Cameron Norrie, who celebrate even trivial points wins wildly, with fists, shouts of joy and nasty looks, and when things aren’t going so well, they start clamoring and lamenting about sudden aches and pains.

Novak Djokovic was terribly upset about Norrie’s behavior in the most recent duel in Rome, especially since he was violently hit in the heel by the Briton after the Serb had turned away.

One could understand the criticism. But you can also say: Djokovic of all people says something like that! So the one who struggles with this and that in worse phases, roars like a monkey after winning a set and who hit a line judge at the US Open when he angrily threw a ball away.

And who shows himself to be badly physically battered in matches in order to win nimbly after a short break. A monster is no good as a mimosa.
