Hein Vanhaezebrouck was still firm about it on Saturday evening after the match against Cercle Brugge. “I am attached to this club, I try to get the most out of it. But if nothing happens, you can’t always pull it over the line. Then European football or play-off 1 will no longer work”, he was very clear.
Chairman Ivan De Witte says that no date has been set when an investor must be present. Moreover, it must also fit the DNA of the club. It could therefore be a very long-term task.
It is the task of the board to keep the club financially healthy. “And that in the best way, without taking unnecessary risks. Furthermore, discretion is in order for such financial matters.”
