Juan Hernández from Salamanca has distinguished himself by achieving the best record in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Category Men’s Championship that has been successfully held on the Zarapicos course.

Juan Hernández, a local player, took advantage of his good knowledge of the terrain to finish off the field par and two shots ahead of the duo made up of Jorge Alonso and José María Ortiz de Pinedo, both at home club with 74 shots.

Even more equality was experienced in the Second Category, where Eduardo Álvarez surpassed Miguel Martín by one blow, 75 and 76 blows, respectively.

However, where equality and uncertainty reached the highest levels was in the Third Category, where Enrique Sanz, David Hens, Oscar Villafañe, Santos Santibáñez Heras and Javier Buch finished tied with 88 strokes, a parity resolved in favor of the first of this extensive list after overcoming a tiebreaker playoff.

Lastly, in the Fourth Category, the most inspired player was Luis Ángel Rivero, who with 96 shots beat the trio made up of Amador Ratero, Pelayo Cuevas and Francisco Iglesias by three.

For their part, in the handicap category, the most distinguished have been Elías Plaza, Rafael Tavera, David Guerrero and Luis Miguel Pérez in First, Second, Third and Fourth Category.
