“There is little left for the Paris Games but since I have so many tournaments on the world circuitwhich is what I am focusing on, I don’t think about it much. Now I want to accumulate good training, compete at the highest level and climb the world ranking to be there”, said the Andalusian athlete in an interview with EFE.
Aiming at the world which is held in August in Copenhagen, Carolina Marín He gave a balance of what is going on in the season and also stated what his plans are for the remainder of it. “So far I would give a positive balance of the season in terms of sensations. Since December I have not had that pain that I had in my knee, I can withstand the training loads perfectly and that allows me to accumulate good training sessions and compete well. And he talked about the future of badminton in spain. “I always demand more dissemination of badminton. It is true that it is difficult for there to be another Carolina Marín but I would like there to be more Spaniards at the top. It is difficult for a girl like me, from Huelva, to come out practicing an unknown sport, but I hope that in the future may arise”.
Finally, she was proud that she is recognized for being the reference of her sport in spain. “I feel very proud for having been able to put badminton on everyone’s lips. When people recognize me, they know what I do and for me it is the greatest pride. On top of that, I have encouraged them to play it. Now I go walking through parks and people greet me, something that was unthinkable years ago for a badminton player.”
