Under the leadership of the well-known presenter Javi Teruel, the city council awarded nearly 40 awards to individuals and entities for the sports results obtained in the last two years. The event included live performances and the projection of audiovisuals that valued the work of the winners.

As for the prizes, which They were made with recycled wood as an example of sustainability, the city council awarded two awards for local excellence, one for Ramón Ejeda Medina “for his extraordinary achievements in the sports discipline of Triathlon” and the other for Ángela Aguilera Aznar, in Judo. The “Most Inclusive Club” was also awarded, an award that went to the Rotipet climbing and mountain club, while the “Most Egalitarian” one went to Judo Canet.

Canet also granted sports recognition to Viktoria Romanbuka, for her achievements in judo in 2022; Hugo Cuadros Ruiz in judo and Sambo and Neus Gómez Dillet, Sofía Sancho Sánchez, Cayetana Huguet Plumed, Noelia Ferri Fernández, Neus Tur López and Jimena Bernat Moreno, in Rhythmic Gymnastics. There were also distinctions for local clubs such as the Tricanet Triathlon Club, “for their achievements in duathlon in 2021 and 2022” and the Canet Football club.

On a personal level, the results of Lucía Pardo Pérez in Horse Riding and Clara Rada and Francisco Gómez Hernández «Xato» in Athletics were recognized; Mara Jurado Gil in Judo (2021), Íker Cuadros Ruiz in Sambo (2021), Livia Guillem Blanco in Triathlon (2021 and 2022), Germán Cister Lázaro in Triathlon (2021 and 2022), José Ignacio Gómez Vandellós, Isabel Alonso, Silvia Rodríguez Calero, Ramón Gómez Ferro and José Manuel García in sea kayaking (2021 and 2022); Dominique Cosset in Sailing as well as Violeta Familiar García, Sofía Marzal Ferri (2021) and Aida Marzal Fernández, in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Within this section, another distinction has been given to María Vicente Villamón in Swimming (2022), Daniela Ojeda Aranda in Judo, Daniel Lysenko and Pedro Fandos Planelles in Sambo, the brothers José and Raúl García Ávila and Paola Ávila Climent in sea kayaking (2021-2022) and Marco García Sancho in Pesca Surf Casting. The mayor, Pere Antoni Chordá, closed the event, acknowledging that he felt “very satisfied to see what we have achieved at a sporting level in Canet. The great results in different disciplines, the great work carried out by the clubs and the enormous athletes and people that we have trained, who have served us as an example of responsibility, improvement and perseverance”, he said, in addition to emphasizing his commitment to continue working in that line.
