– Athletes added medals in various categories
It was a sacrificial trip with a stay of four days. But, without a doubt, the achievements obtained in the region of Arica and Parinacota are a boost for those who practice this sport of archery.
The one who was very happy with the performance of her coaches was the trainer of this specialty, Soledad Rojas Abraham, who said: “It was a nice weekend that we lived in Arica, from Thursday to Sunday, where we participated in the Second Ranking National Sub Categories and Archery Master. For us as a club it was an extraordinary experience, not only because of the results, but because of what it means to travel to a city so far away and also achieve achievements. As a coach I have seen the sports work of my students, day by day with their commitment, because in the end this cannot be achieved if there is no commitment from the athletes, their parents and the work we are doing together. Happy because we were the Club that obtained the most medals in the championship, winning 4 golds, several silvers and several bronzes”.
“There are many of our athletes who belong to the IND Growing in Movement Schools, that also makes me proud because they have supported us at all stages. We have a girl who obtained a silver medal, who is from the Sports Play School and the rest of the boys who are part of the specialization school. These successes are the product of everyone’s work with the support of the family, although we always need their help because we would like to take many more athletes who also have conditions and who, unfortunately, the economic situation does not allow them to travel. Personally, proud, actually seeing that when you want to achieve your dreams, you can, but you can, when we all dream the same thing. The work we are doing is not easy, but it is so rewarding that it keeps us going.”
“Now we are beginning to prepare for other competitions, we have a super intense year because the sports year has been reduced because we have the Pan American Games, in November. Next weekend we are going to meet in a national Ranking, but at a distance of 18 meters which is INDOOR and tell you that the national indoor final will be in Linares again, which will be in the month of August and is a qualifier for the Pan American Indoor that has Argentina as its destination. And finally, in December, Linares will also have another important tournament, because we want our city to be the southern capital of Archery”, he affirmed.
