After years of self-doubt and a season full of setbacks, it seems as if BVB can no longer take the championship away. Coach Terzic has managed to equip the team with basic trust against any distrust.
It was Sunday afternoon, Borussia Dortmund was in the lead, the championship was closer than it had been for a long time, when Monty Python echoed through the Augsburg stadium. “Boooooorussia Dortmund will be champions and Schalke will be relegated”, it sounded from the middle of the second half from the curve of the BVB fans, they sang it to the melody of the classic “Brian’s life”: “Always look on the bright side of life” – always look at the sunny side of life. It may not always have been easy when you stuck with Dortmund over the past few weeks, months and years, but everything was different on Sunday: Where else should you look on this match day, when something happened for a decade somehow didn’t fit together.
