Bayern flop Bouna Sarr could finally leave the club

FC Bayern Munich paid eight million euros for Bouna Sarr in October 2020.

After a short time, the transfer turned out to be an absolute bad investment, Sarr has only played 28 competitive games since his arrival. The 31-year-old’s contract expires in June 2024, but now the unhappy relationship is apparently coming to an end.

As the “fussballtransfers.com” portal reports, several “ambitious French first division clubs” are said to have the full-back on their slip. In Ligue 1, the Senegalese experienced his best career phase with Oylmpique Marseille and FC Metz. Teams from England and Italy also appear to have found Sarr a cheap option for the summer transfer window.

It is clear that Bayern will not recover much of their eight million investment. In the meantime, however, it seems that Munich is only concerned with somehow saving Sarr’s salary.
