Barcelona and Kielce join PSG Hand in Champions League Final Four

Paris Saint-Germain now know the teams to beat if they want to clinch the first Champions League in their history. The day after their qualification against Kiel, the Parisians learned this Thursday the qualifications of Barcelona, defending champion, and the Poles of Kielce. Magdeburg was the other team qualified on Wednesday for the Final Four of the most prestigious European competition.

Large winners in the first leg in the room of the Danes of Gudme (37-30), the Barcelonans easily validated their ticket at home, winning 36-31. Dika Mem’s teammates led 20-13 at halftime.

“Really happy, we did some great things tonight. Once again, we reach the Final Four, it’s a great performance from our group and our club,” commented the French international.

In the evening’s other game, Kielce edged Hungary’s Veszprem 31-27 after drawing 29-29 in the first leg. The French Nicolas Tournat (4 goals) and Dylan Nahi (3 goals) participated in the success of the Polish club.

The posters for the Final Four, which will take place in Cologne on June 17 and 18, will be determined by a draw scheduled for May 23. PSG will make the trip there for the sixth time in 10 years with the ambition of breaking a glass ceiling: the semi-finals. Despite all its stars of the past, Paris has only passed this stage once, in 2017, to smash in the final on a goal scored at the buzzer against Vardar Skopje (24-23).
