Latvian national team striker Rūdolfs Balcers shared his emotions after joining the national team.

It has already been announced that the hockey player, who spent most of the season in the Syracuse Crunch team of the American Hockey League (AHL), flew into Riga yesterday and had his first training session today. The striker played in the same shift with Ronald Kēnins and Dana Lochmeli.

“We have played with Ronaldo before, everything is fine there. I have also heard many good things about Lochmeli. A young boy, he will run, as far as I understand, his head is good, everything will be fine,” assured Balcers.

“I flew in yesterday, slept normally and felt quite well. Of course, I remember the last time I played in Riga – [2022. gada] OS qualification. The feelings were good and the atmosphere was very good. I think it will be cool to go out on the ice in a full arena tomorrow. It will only give strength and energy, it will be a good game,” said the forward.
