Badminton. The BC Schwindratzheim at the gates of the N3

To close the 2022/2023 season, the four Grand Est Pre-national champions, namely Reims Métropole Badminton (1^is of Pool A with 10 wins in 10 days), Tennis Squash Badminton Jarville (1^is of pool B), Metz Ban Saint-Martin Badminton II (which also achieved a clear round in pool C) and BC Schwindratzheim (the winner of pool D with 8 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss) will face each other this Saturday and this Sunday at the multipurpose hall in Schwindratzheim. Both to designate the regional champion, but also and above all to designate the two teams promoted next season in National 3.

The four teams will all compete in the form of a mini-championship according to the following schedule:

– Saturday: – at 1.30 p.m.: Metz-Schwindratzheim and Jarville-Reims; – at 5.30 p.m.: Schwindratzheim-Reims and Jarville-Metz;

-Sunday: -at 10am: Reims-Metz and Jarville-Schwindratzheim.

Each match includes 2 women’s singles, 2 men’s singles, 1 women’s doubles, 1 men’s doubles and 2 mixed doubles. Each formation is composed of at least three women and three men. A victory is worth 5 points (6, in the event of an 8-0 victory), 3 points for a draw, and 1 point for a defeat 1 (2 in the event of a 3-5 defeat). At the end of this final phase (3 matches for each team), the first two will reach National 3.

If Reims, with Hélène Dijoux and Audrey Petit, 2019 world champions +35 years in women’s doubles, and Nicolas Sejournant, ranked in the top 400 French men’s singles, will leave with the favors of the prognosis, BC Schwindratzheim, with in its ranks the Pole Tymoteusz Malik, who had participated in the 2017 world junior championships, with Quentin Zieringer, ranked in the Top 200 of the best Frenchmen in mixed doubles, and with Laurent Andrissen, who participated in the French youth championships, has every chance to win, for the first time in its history, a place in the French championship.
