After having easily won his hen of Nationale 3 (nine wins and a draw), the Alencon badminton club (CAB 61) will play the accession play-offs in National 2.

Led by Louis-Théo Hamard and Lyse Gagliardi, the Ornais know the teams they will face, Saturday May 6 and Sunday May 7, 2023, to obtain their climb: Liancourt, Orléans and the reserve of Racing Club de France.

Training that Alençon (Orne) will have the privilege of receiving, in the Etoile complex, the club having been chosen to host this spring meeting.

Three games to play

A mini-championship which will take place over a single weekend. With four teams on the starting line for two promoted places.

“You have to win two matches out of the three,” warned Yann Lemesle, the CAB captain, immediately after the recent victory at Saint-Avertin. Lison Mesnil-Perret’s teammates will therefore only have the right to one joker. Not one more.

The first match will oppose Alençon to Liancourt, Saturday, May 6, at 2 p.m., while in the other part, Orléans will face Racing-Club de France. Depending on the results, the locals will play Orleans or the RCF on the same day.

The next day, Sunday May 7, the Alençonnais of Yann Lemesle will play their last meeting. Against the third opponent.

A goal displayed for several seasons

Three games to determine the future of the prefectural club: the rise to N2, a goal set up as a leitmotif for a few seasons, or an additional season in N3. Sure that the Ornais will be over-motivated in front of their loyal public.

Monday, May 8, a public holiday, will be synonymous with rest. Athletes always say that it is easier to recover after a victory. What about the Alencon troops?

Play-offs for accession to the N2, Saturday May 6 and Sunday May 7, at the Etoile complex (45, rue de Verdun) in Alençon. Start at 2 p.m.
