Authoritative victory for Sassari who also beats Venice in race-3

Sassari prevails in game-3 against Venice and now coach Piero Bucchi’s team leads the series 2-1. The challenge was decided in the third quarter when Dinamo put the high gears by placing a third quarter from 26-14. A clear victory for Dinamo with the contribution of the whole team with a very balanced attack thanks to Jamal Jones’ 15 points, followed by Stefano Gentile’s 14 coming off the bench and 10 with 9 assists by Chris Dowe. 80-69 the final.

FIRST FOURTH

The Dinamo quintet sees the same performers as in the first two matches, namely: Dowe, Kruslin, Jones, Bendzius and Stephens. Reyer who instead changes compared to the first two appointments and answers with Spissu, Granger, Parks, Willis and Watt. After less than a minute of play Jones has two fouls sanctioned which force Bucchi to insert Raspino. Dinamo immediately ahead 5-1, to which Venice responds with a mini run of 5-0. Two bombs from Bendzius make it 10-6 in the 4th minute in favor of Banco. A counterattack by Willis and a triple by Spssiu bring Umana back forward. Beautiful game played at a very high pace, with Willis putting in the 14-15 bomb in the 6th minute. Diop was also on the field: the placement of the long shot from Sassari gives the hosts a new +1. Stefano Gentile also gets into the game who is not a person from the corner, 18-14 in the 8th minute. Reyer swerves and Dinamo doesn’t forgive, 49-35 in the 22nd minute. Watt interrupts the Sardinians’ run, but Jones puts in two consecutive bombs to score 55-37 and Banco runs away. Also comes the +20 (57-37) in favor of Dinamo with the unresponsive orogranata. Venice wakes up thanks to Spissu’s triple, but Diop’s 2+1 game gives Bucchi’s boys +20 again.
