In the wake of Juventus, first Italian club to create in 2018 a second team, Atalanta are planning a Next Gen lineup to debut from next season – if the regulations allow it – in the Serie C championship, with theobjective to value young people who grew up in the youth teams (and not only), rather than dispersing them with loans to other companies.
Where will Atalanta B play?
If the Percassi project were to be successful, Atalanta B would play their home games at the municipal stadium of Caravaggio, which he would share with the local team engaged in the playoffs to regain Serie D after last season’s relegation. The plant would have been chosen both for the capacity (2200 spectators, the largest in the area) and for its proximity to the Zingonia sports centre. In the Atalanta house there is no hurry, but we work so as not to be caught unprepared should the opportunity present itself.
