At Louis Jouvet College in Gamaches, students experience two hours of additional sport

is part of some 170 colleges French people who were able to experience these hours of additional sports. And even if it is complicated to offer this offer to all 500 students, the college wanted to favor its interns, who cannot necessarily play sports outside of class.

About twenty interns volunteered for these two additional hours of physical education, which allows them to exert themselves rather than stay in study. “Instead of spending an hour and a half in the halls, I prefer to play sports”, rejoices Azzedine, in 4th grade.

Quickly, the teenager slips into the gymnasium. On the program: the flag, a game that resembles the hawk. The students carefully follow the instructions of Cédric Poullin, sports educator and director of the Gamaches outdoor base. He is not part of the college, but has worked with it for several years. It is therefore quite natural that he participates in animating these two hours of additional sport. “We did archery, biathlon games, floor hockey“, he enumerates.

Sports disciplines that are sometimes closer to the game. Next year, the college even plans to expand these two hours of sport to volunteer students who live in Gamaches.
