At the weekend the dragon tournament in judo took place in Lindenfels, to which more than 300 active people from southern Germany had gathered. From the Untermain, the clubs DJK Aschaffenburg and Judokan Aschaffenburg were at the start.

In the U11s, Franziska Schürmann (DJK) took third place in the F10 class. In the U18s, Maja Duckwitz (DJK) made it into the semi-finals after two wins in the opening game. Here she had to admit defeat to Hofheimerin Benz and won bronze.

In the class up to 63 kg Emma Stif (DJK) was in a hurry and defeated her opponents Ulrich (Rüsselsheim) with an inside sickle and Habernich (Alten-Buseck) with a thigh throw. In the semi-final she won against Holste (Griesheim) with a hold. In the final she lost to her opponent from Ober-Ramstadt and had to settle for the silver medal.

Max Weberpals (-66 kg, DJK) won the first two matches of the U18s. In the semi-final against Wiesbaden’s Hanßmann, he led by half a point, but was defeated with a shoulder throw. In the fight for third place, he took the lead again, but a penalty resulted in defeat and he had to stand just off the podium in fifth place.

Jordan Rakowski (Judokan) did better, regaining his strength after two defeats and countering his opponent in the third match to win the bronze medal up to 81 kg.

Schweickert is in a hurry

The U15s won three gold and four bronze medals. Up to 57 kg, Lara Schweickert (DJK Aschaffenburg) needed just one minute to defeat her four opponents with Uchi Mata. The hardest part for her was her teammate Nele Freund, who was able to keep up for half a minute. Nele ended up third. Paula Schürmann (DJK) also won gold with two early wins up to 48 kg.

Kilian Stein won the third gold medal for the DJK up to 55 kg. He won his two pool fights early. In the semifinals he won against his clubmate Thomas Wolleb, who finished third. In the final, Kilian Stein was able to win against Potempa from Griesheim with a counterattack after 15 seconds. Bronze medals went to Paul Naeve (DJK, up to 34 kg), Jan Schlottbom (Judokan, up to 40 kg) and Leo Schubert (Judokan, up to 60 kg).
