The application of a Hertha member to dismiss the club boss, who was newly elected on June 26, 2022, as well as his comrades-in-arms Fabian Drescher (Vice President), Anne Jiingermann, Peer Mock-Sümer, Hans-Joachim Bläsing and Tim Kauermann (members) was accepted at the general meeting of the Association on Sunday in exhibition hall 18 not put to the vote. The meeting voted by a clear majority not to deal with the member’s application. In order for Bernstein and his colleagues to be recalled, 75 percent of the members present would have had to vote to vote out.

The fact that the Executive Committee of the current Bundesliga bottom team consists of only six members after the resignation of member Ingmar Pering last Thursday and therefore does not have the required number of nine according to the statutes, does not require an immediate by-election.

Although the Hertha association court decided that the presidium should again have nine members “for the short term”, the by-election recommended by the incumbent presidium can take place at the next regular general meeting in October of this year, according to the assembly.

In addition, Klaus Brüggemann will remain the chairman of the supervisory board of Hertha BSC eV. However, the applicant withdrew this in the course of the discussion.

The head of the supervisory board of the eV had already had to submit a motion to be voted out at the last general meeting in November 2022, which at the time failed to achieve the required three-quarters majority. 51.6 percent of the members present had voted for Brüggemann’s deselection.
