The New York Jets really want to please their new quarterback Aaron Rodgers, it seems.
On Wednesday, the ESPN network learned that the New York organization had awarded a one-year contract to wide receiver Randall Cobb, who is one of the 39-year-old center’s best friends.
The two men played together for 10 seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

About two months ago, well before the Jets acquired the quarterback, a rumor circulated that Rodgers had given the New York team a list of players he would like to play with.
The list would include Cobb, Allen Lazard and Marcedes Lewis. Among these names, only the last would not have yet become a member of the Jets.
During one of his appearances on the “Pat McAfee Show” podcast in March, Rodgers denied making such a request, but said he had bragged about several of his former teammates.
“Did they ask me about some guys I’ve played with before? Of course, the watchman had said. Did I speak well of some teammates that I like? Why would I do the opposite?
Coming back to Cobb, the 32-year-old played 13 games in 2022. He caught 34 of 50 balls thrown his way for 417 yards and a touchdown.
