Aguero predicts MU & Arsenal to be City’s competitors next season

Sergio Aguero confident Manchester City can defend the Premier League title. However, Aguero predicts City will get resistance from Arsenal and Manchester United.

City came out as Premier League champions 2022/2023. Coming from eight points behind Arsenal in the Premier League standings, Pep Guardiola’s troops then stepped on the gas and won the top of the standings ahead of the last weeks.

This is the fifth Premier League title in the last six seasons for City. Aguero also believes The Citizens can maintain their dominance.

“Why not think that you can win again? Of course, as he does every season, Pep will continue to make the adjustments he thinks are needed to stay competitive,” Aguero said as reported by Metro.

“But this is the Premier League and this is football, there are going to be teams trying to take them out.”

Aguero said Arsenal and MU are City’s competitors in fighting for the Premier League title next season. Arsenal and MU respectively finished second and third in the 2022/2023 Premier League.

“I think Arsenal have built a very important base with young players with a long way to go. Mikel Arteta will try to strengthen his line and will be one of the rivals to beat next season,” continued Aguero.

“Don’t forget Manchester United, who have returned to their competitive spirit and will be one of the ones who really want to beat City,” he added.
