A France A ‘team will face Armenia in Los Angeles

To save time when preparing for the 2022 World Cup, Vincent Collet’s staff will choose their 12 players even before the start of preparation. Thus, the National Technical Department has set up a “France Select Team”, a kind of France A’ team. Under the orders of Ruddy Nelhomme and with Diandra Tchatchouang as head of delegation, she will go to Los Angeles from June 14 to 17 to face Armenia twice. The Blues could thus cross swords with Chris Jones (ex-ASVEL) and Andre Spight (Evreux) who had led their national team to the title of European champion of small countries last summer.

« As part of our excellent relations with the Armenian Federation, we were offered to play two international meetings in Los Angeles, explained Ruddy Nelhomme, in charge of this group. This double confrontation seemed to us an interesting opportunity to set up a team made up of young players who are already international or who have the potential to become one in the near future. Since the establishment of the FIBA ​​World Cup and EuroBasket qualifying windows, Team France Basket’s talent pool has allowed the French national team to maintain its rank at the highest level.
