At 30, Julien Brun still has a lot to learn! The talented DP World Tour golfer paid the price last week at the Italian Open for one of the trickiest rules in professional golf, which many stars have already fallen victim to.
Authorized to raise and place their balls during the first two rounds, the players no longer had the right to do so on Saturday. Unfortunately for him, Julian Brown (and his younger brother) had obviously not had the information.
Twice, the Cannois lifted his ball during the first six holes, before his co-competitor Nicolai Hojgaard does not identify the violation. The sanction of two penalty strokes was ultimately going to cost much more for the tricolor player who conceded three double-bogeys and a triple-bogey on the next eight holes, for a terrible card of 83.
I then lost four balls in three holes and missed three putts of less than two meters. But I had a good laugh!

No penalty… we’re getting better!)» Currently 19th in the Race to Dubai, Julien Brun can indeed keep smiling despite this misadventure.
