If we look at the Serie A standings, we see that after the unapproachable champion Napoli, 6 teams are barely 6 points apart.

Now it just so happens that all 6 of them will play against each other next weekend. And that while 4 of those 6 teams have to play a crucial semi-final in Europe a few days later. Milan and Inter even against each other.

“It’s phenomenal up there,” Peter Vandenbempt outlines the situation in De Tribune’s European special.

“Almost all of them are still participating in the semi-finals of the various European cups, but they are also all on a handkerchief from each other in the battle to still get into the top 4.”

“In addition, no one knows exactly how many points Juventus has. First they had to hand in 15 points (due to financial fraud), but they have now temporarily regained them.”

“Temporarily, that is to say that it could eventually become 10 or 5 or 0 or at least 15. That makes it incredibly difficult.”
