Wonderful goal from Alexis Saelemaekers is icing on the cake in Milan’s big win at leader Napoli | Series A TIM 2022/2023

Napoli against AC Milan was the duel between the future and the outgoing champion. Surprisingly, it was Milan who taught football, although it was mainly a lesson in efficiency.

Brahim Diaz, competitor of Charles De Ketelaere, did magic with his feet and first gave Rafael Leão the 0-1 (spooned over the keeper) and then scored the 0-2 himself.

After the double lead, Milan gave up under the pressure of Napoli, who missed goal getter Osimhen. Even after the break, the Neapolitan storm did not subside, goalkeeper Maignan even had to put his head in front of it.

But on the other side, Leao had a gifted day. After a ball conquest from Tonali, he brought out his typical dragging movement and rammed the 0-3 into goal. The Portuguese had not scored since January 14.

At Napoli the spring was broken and that was the signal for Alexis Saelemaekers to claim the spotlight. At first, Giroud did not value his assist, so the Belgian took matters into his own hands. After a nice dribble, he put the 0-4 in the basket.

Saelemaekers, posted as left back in a failed experiment with the Red Devils, excelled in a free roll from the right flank and came close to a second goal twice. In the final phase, Divock Origi and De Ketelaere were allowed to come in.

Milan’s victory does not change the title fight, but it does help Milan in the battle for the CL tickets. It will also be a warning for Napoli ahead of the quarter-finals in the Champions League, where they will also meet Milan.
