Why are you so bloodthirsty?

Boxing journalist Michael Benson shared Usyk’s statements about Joshua’s knockout on his Twitter account.

In both duels between Usika and Joshua, the winner was determined by points or judges’ decision. In both the first and the second fight, Usik had the opportunity to end the duel prematurely by knocking out his opponent.

In the first fight, Usyk could knock out Joshua in the final 12th round, but in the second duel, the Ukrainian boxer had the opportunity to finish the fight early in the 10th round.

“Why are you so bloodthirsty? The victory was won. Everything is fine. Why is it necessary to see a man fall? He has a mother and a father. If a man falls [tiek nokautēts], it takes a large portion of his health. I don’t need it,” Benson quoted Usiku as saying.

It is planned that Usyk’s next fight will be against 25-year-old British Daniel Dubois. The World Boxing Association (WBA) has determined that the camps of Usyk and Dubois must agree on the fight until May 2.

36-year-old Usik has participated in 20 fights in the professional boxing ring and won all of them, ending 13 duels prematurely.

Usyk was previously the undisputed world champion in the weight category up to 90.2 kilograms, but now he owns four championship belts in the super heavyweight division.
