In the semifinals, as in the quarterfinals, there are no restrictions on the draw. Since there are no clubs below the 2nd Bundesliga in the competition, all four balls are drawn from the same pot. The club drawn first automatically has home rights in the semi-finals of the DFB Cup.
The two semi-finals will be played on May 2nd and 3rd, 2023. The final dates will only be determined after the draw by the DFB. It is already certain that both games will be shown on free TV.
