This is a great first for Badminton Valdahon-Vercel which has just won two regional youth titles in Morteau with Ninon Rolin and Clara Bouhelier.
Ninon wins the women’s singles and completes the double with Clara in women’s doubles at the end of a match in three sets against a pair from Dôle and Ancy-le-Franc. Note the presence of their club partner Lou-Ann Gôme on the 3e place on the podium associated with a female player.
With these excellent results and those of the four other players present, the club finished 7e Burgundy-Franche-Comté club.
Ninon and Clara are thus directly qualified for the French youth championships which will take place in May in Mulhouse.
This result is the logical continuation of their steady progress and the dynamism of the badminton school, led by their coach Léo Luzy, which has nearly 80 young people and who has just won 15 medals at the departmental trophies in Montbéliard and Baume.
