In the fight for the third place, the girls from Riga beat the Klaipeda “Neptunas” team with a score of 71:62 (12:20, 13:13, 22:9, 24:20).

Mara Mote stood out for RSU with 16 points and nine rebounds, who couldn’t help the team in the last three minutes because her nose was broken in a collision with an opponent. Evelina Otto had 12 points and seven balls under the basket, 12+4 in these boxes were collected by Louise Shepte, Evija Vīksne scored 11 points, nine assists and six balls under the basket, while Anita Miķelsone had ten points.

For the opponents, 59 out of 62 points were scored by starting players, but Victoria Balaban was the top scorer with 22 points.

“TTT Riga” and Vilnius “Kibirkštis” will meet in the final at 3:30 p.m.

On Saturday, in the semi-finals, “TTT Riga” defeated RSU with 73:48 and Vilnius basketball players were superior in the duel between Lithuanian teams with 77:72.

RSU basketball players won 20 out of 22 games in the main tournament, which gave them first place and a ticket to the final four tournament.

“TTT Rīga” ended the main tournament in fifth position with 15 victories, but in the quarter-finals, the Rīga girls beat “Aistes” from Kaunas in the sum of two games – 66:52 and 76:79.

In the main tournament, Latvia’s best teams each celebrated a victory – on November 17, the RSU team won with 74:41, and on February 22, “TTT Rīga” took revenge with 86:72.

Last season, the basketball players of “TTT Rīga” became the champions.
