Although already qualified for the final four, PFV needed to win to keep first place on equal points with Biella, and won by beating Moncalieri 65-52 at the end of a game that saw the Vercelli almost ride a roller coaster , there were many stretches during the match always recovered by the Turin players, except in the last quarter, when there was no more time because the match was over.

After a long dominated first period, with advantages even of +10, after a few rotations necessary to make some players of the quintet take the field at the beginning, PFV saw themselves nibbling half the advantage on the final quarter, which ended 20- 15.

In the second period, Bendazzi’s team had a slight decline which allowed the opponents to stay in the game, with Bracco, Sara Leone and Sarrocco keeping the flame alive in the Vercelli home, and Bouchefra tireless in defense and stealing balls: balance, thus, he was still at 35-31 at the half-time.

In the third period Bendazzi’s team went up again to +11 in the 23′, but again some unbalanced quintet allowed the guests to make up for it, to impact but then kept at a distance by a series of baskets from Acciarino, Bracco and Sara Leone , moreover with several rather evident defensive team mistakes which Moncalieri took advantage of to stay largely in the game at 50-46 in the 30th minute.

At this point, however, PFV managed to shake off its torpor, and with a careful defense of all five players on the pitch, led by Bouchefra and Bertelegni, kept the guests at 6 points, then, with a series of baskets from the latter two and of the usual Bracco and Acciarino, he managed to place a quarter-final run of 15-6, with which he achieved a well-deserved victory, also in terms of proportions (+13) for what we saw on the pitch.

Now there are two days left to go and PFV is certain of second place in the standings (the points are the same as Biella, but this is in first place by virtue of the +7 difference between baskets in direct matches in the first phase): it will only take wait for the end of the round to establish which team, between Moncalieri and Nole, will place third to know the opponent of the semifinal.
