Two leaders in the Lotte Championship, Pauline Roussin-Bouchard 18th

The second day was better than the first for the French at the Lotte Championship. Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, Céline Boutier and Perrine Delacour all returned a better card than the day before to get back in the standings. With five birdies and three bogeys on Thursday, the winner of the Aramco Team Series in Singapore moved up to 18th position at -2 overall.

Behind her, Céline Boutier set the sights despite a double bogey at 17. After her inaugural +2, the native of Clamart relied on her seven birdies to score 69 (-3) and move up to 27th at -1 total. The recent Drive on Championship champion is tied with her compatriot Perrine Delacour. The three Tricolores thus find themselves above the cut at +2, while Allison Corpuz (33rd in the world, at +3) remains at the door.

Vongtaveelap continues to race in the lead

At the forefront, Thailand’s Natthakritta Vongtaveelap got four birdies against two bogeys. “It’s not a very good day, but it’s okay. In putting, it wasn’t really that, but that’s fine. My driving and my approach were excellent… Except on certain holes. But the overall result is good”, explains the 20-year-old player who still shares the lead in the tournament. It was with Frida Kinhult after the first round. But the Swede cracked this Thursday with seven bogeys including four consecutive between 11 and 14. She now finds herself 18th. At -8 total, the South Korean Yu Jin Sung is the new co-leader.

Behind the leading duo, Linnea Strom and Georgia Hall are only one step behind. The Englishwoman made the best part of the day: a card of 66, a -6 without bogey. “I played well. I really took advantage of the par 5s. I was quite aggressive, had fairly easy chips to make birdies. I am very happy not to have conceded a bogey. All shots were solid. It’s really good “analyzes the 10th in the world.
