On Saturday 22 April 2023 in Ariano Irpino, at the outdoor archery range of the Tricolle Archers, a meeting of the Regional Competitive Group (GAR) was held, organized by the Regional Committee of FITARCO Campania and promoted by its President Mimmo Del Piano.
The best archers of the region who practice “field shooting” competitions took part in the meeting, with shots from five to fifty meters on targets of different sizes and organized in wooded contexts.
For this event, seventeen selected archers were summoned from those who shoot with compound bows, with Olympic bows and with bare bows.
Among these agonists it will be necessary to identify three men and three women who will represent the Campania region in the Italian Cup of the regions which is a national competition where each territorial reality challenges the others.
The event was attended by the coach of the Italian national team Vincenzo Scaramuzza who was able to observe the various talents from Campania on the field.
It is the first time that Ariano Irpino hosts a regional archery meeting in its territory.
