What causes contact with water? “I get itchy bumps on my skinthey sting… it’s basically that, the wounds tend to come out more from scratching than from the allergy itself, ”says Diana.
An allergy that excessively complicates her daily life, how does Diana take a shower? “Before, if it is true, that I always went with antihistamines, I took pills to be able to shower… now the doctor has recommended me to stop taking them. Now they have to be very short showers, with warm water rather pulling cold. And I, personally, wash my hair separated from the body because between shampoo, conditioner… I would throw myself in the shower for half an hour,” says the young woman who is allergic to water.
Can you bathe in the pool or the sea? “In the swimming pools, since they have chlorine, I bear it better… but I don’t usually take a bath after spending half an hour in the water. If it is very hot and we are sunbathing, I get in quickly, I get out and I continue sunbathing”, he says.
Is there treatment for this allergy? “Being a rare disease, it is not sufficiently studied and investigated, so, It is not known if it has a cure, or why it appears… in fact, I haven’t had it since I was born, it appreciated me at the end of 2018”, explains the young woman allergic to water live on ‘Cuatro a día’.
