The Port of the Balearic Islands provides the maritime traffic regulation service

Due to the fact that the current technical assistance contract for the management, coordination and control of maritime traffic in the ports of Ibiza and La Savina is coming to an end, the Balearic Islands Port Authority (spain) has launched a new tender procedure to replace the existing one.

The contract has an execution period of 18 months, a bidding base budget of 1,007,918.11 euros and an estimated value of 1,358,914.26 euros. One of the objectives of this initiative is to strengthen the management, coordination and control of maritime traffic in aspects such as efficiency, quality and safety.

Likewise, the agreement involves managing the navigation of ships in the waters of the service area of ​​the two ports to prevent collisions and risky situations for both people and navigation, thus contributing to improving the safety of goods and the conservation of the marine environment.

Specifically, the technical assistance work will cover the entire maritime port area during the 18-month term of the contract, every day of the week, 24 hours a day in the Port of Ibiza and for twelve hours in the Port of La Savina. .

The service will consist of works related to information to ships, general instructions for traffic management, support in the control of maritime-port operations related to the provision of certain general port and commercial services and other activities, in addition to the independent monthly report. of the report on compliance with regulatory regulations and incidents.
