The Port of Seville grants an esplanade for goods traffic at the Armamento dock

The Seville Port Authority (spain) has awarded the Madrid company Conservación, Asfalto y Construcción the contract to fit out a new esplanade dedicated to merchandise traffic at the Armamento dock for an amount of 317,959.30 euros and with a completion period of two months.

Consequently, the company will proceed to carry out the paving tasks in the area of this facility closest to the Apimosa warehouse and up to the surface that is already paved in phase two.

The facility covers some 1,600 m² of surface, which are used for operation and storage for commercial use. One of the tasks you will need to cover is drainage related to the new forecourt, intended for commercial use operation and storage.

Through these works, the aim is to extend the paved surface around the Armamento wharf and integrate the area with basic services that serve the great increase in port activity that has been experienced in the entire area annexed to the Astilleros industrial estate.

More specifically, the works involve the demolition of the foundation and excavation of earth from the crest level to a depth of two meters, the complete paving of an area of some 1,600 m² with a new pavement 35 centimeters thick and the provision of a new drainage network.

On the other hand, the Seville Port Authority has begun the cruise season with the arrival of the ship ‘Azamara Journey’, belonging to the Azamara Cruises shipping company. The high-end cruise ship, which has arrived this Monday, March 27 at the Delicias Pier, has brought 399 crew members and 651 passengers on board.
