Carine Bouillon, granddaughter of Michael, one of the Titanic orphans sits on ‘Horizonte’ together with Iker Jiménez and Carmen Porter to talk about this curious story that went around the world, according to Carine because they were looking for the mother of these orphans.
Carmen Porter explains that this story is about some children who were traveling on the Titanic and who appeared in the Carpathia, the ship that picked up the survivors of the ocean liner. When the children were picked up, no one knew where they came from since they were not accompanied by anyone.
According to Carine Bouillon, there are something dark behind this story: “They were more or less kidnapped by their father who had separated from his wife and who had lost custody of the children, so he decided to emigrate to Chicago, where he had relatives and take the children with him.”
Apparently, the three boarded with false names because the father was afraid of the police for the kidnapping he was carrying out, he did it thanks to a friend of his who lent him his passport.
