Last night, the Seattle Kraken club of the National Hockey League (NHL) beat the Arizona Coyotes 4-2. This victory allowed the Kraken to secure a place in the playoffs, where the youngest NHL team will participate for the first time in history.

The Kraken led 3-0 at halftime with goals from Jared McCann, Vince Dunn and Jordan Eberle, but the Coyotes pulled one back late in the second period thanks to Barrett Hayton. In the third period, Matthew Bennier laid even greater foundations for the “Kraken’s” victory, and Laurent Dauphin scored the second goal of the “Coyotes” 39 seconds before the end of regular time.

Meanwhile, the third victory in a row was celebrated by the Colorado Avalanche, which won 6-2 over the hockey players of the San Jose Sharks. Miko Rantanen scored three goals or a “hat-trick” for the winners, while Ben Meyer scored two more goals and Nathan McKinnon scored one. Erik Karlsson and Steve Lorenz scored for the losers.

In another productive duel, the New York “Islanders” defeated the Tampa Bay “Lightning” unit 6-1, causing their opponents the second defeat in a row. Adam Pelek, Ryan Pulock, Simon Holmström, Bo Horvath, Kyle Palmieri and Brock Nelson added goals for the Islanders, while Nikita Kucherov scored the only puck for the Lightning.
