NewTuscia – VITERBO – Saturday 15th April on the diamond of the house “G. Massini” the youth teams of Stella Carni Viterbo baseball will begin their journey in the regional championship.
This year the Viterbo club is fielding three teams.
The first to take the field at 11.00 will be Livio Quatrini’s Under 12s, who, like the rest of the other boys, will face the Lions of Nettuno. The little ones from Viterbo baseball will face this first commitment with the sole purpose of improving their quality of play as they are mostly kids at their first experience, but the good work done up to now will surely bear fruit in the continuation of the championship, counting also on the experience of Cabrera Gomez Roniel and Mazza Vittoriò
At 14.30, again against the Lions of Nettuno, Roberto FORTUNATI’s Under 15s will take the field. A team that finished third in the standings last year and this year, thanks to the experience of 2022 and thanks to three grafts from Anzio, wants to play a leading role in the Lazio championship. The team has grown a lot and certainly all the boys will give their best, with Bertollini and Ceccariglia returning from their experience with the Lazio Academy, the growth of Eighuci Di Martino Daniele and Fortunati Alessandro, who together with the various Mazza, Colonna, Cannata Collettini and to the newcomers from Anzio, Tonini, Ruberto and Casseri will surely give all the teams a hard time.
Last at 17.00 will take the field, again against the Lions of Neptune under 14, a team made up of all former under 12 and their first experience in the category. Federico Morini’s boys aim to grow in view of their transition to the under 15s, a much more demanding category. To lend a hand to Mastrocola Giorgia, Torri Daniele, Pietrini Samuele, there will also be those born in 2009 involved with the under 15s, including Raduly Aron and Cusi Giovanni. The latter team, as mentioned, is new in the category that will try to trip up the “big” players in the group during the championship.
Appointment then on Saturday 15 from 11.00 at the “G. Massini” in Viterbo to cheer and see our young people at work.
