The Jelgava Cup basketball finalists and the winner of the long throw competition have been determined: Jelgava

In the first semi-final game, the first and fourth place of the regular tournament “NĪP” and “Doks” met, and “NĪP” basketball players were superior with the result 104:88. In the second semi-final game, the second and third places of the regular tournament “Skandijs/ERTE grupa” and “Valauto/Toma-noma.lv” met, and “Skandijs/ERTE group” basketball players from Dobele were superior with the result 84:79, entering the tournament for the first time in the final. Therefore, “NĪP” and “Skandijs/ERTE group” will meet in the final, which will take place on April 29.

During the break of the semi-final games, a long shot competition was held in which two players from each team of the tournament could participate. A total of 18 participants took part in the competition. The winner was Salvis Filipovs from the “Rockies” team, accumulating 15 points. He received a prize worth 100 euros. Dalits 2-3 place with 14 points was won by Rainers Barkans from the “Valauto/Toma-noma.lv” team and Kaspars Neimanis from the “Skandijs/ERTE group” team.

The final of the Jelgava Cup basketball competition will be held at the Jelgava Sports Hall on April 29 at 12. Spectators are invited to support the teams in person. The game for 3rd place will not be played.

It should be reminded that ten teams are participating in the Jelgava Cup basketball competition this year: “Valauto/Toma-noma.lv”, “Alvila dēli”, “Rokiji”, “Doks”, “NĪP” and “Vilki” from Jelgava, “Skandijs/ERTE group ” from Dobele, and tournament newcomers “JUVI” from Bauska, BK “TJN” from Riga and BK “Trakie minjoni” from Talsie.

The tournament is organized by BK “Jelgava” in cooperation with Jelgava municipality “Sporta servis centrs”.
