The Guadalajara and Marchamalo City Councils have started the procedures for the expansion of the Transport City, which will double its size, with 2,000,000 m² of industrial land more dedicated to logistics.
Thus, it will have an extension of close to 4,000,000 m², given the forecast that in the next two or three years the current available land will be fully occupied.
Both consistories are finalizing the details for the modification of their urban planning with a view to this expansion, which will be distributed approximately 50% in each municipality.
In the coming months, companies will continue to arrive, they explain, with projects that in some cases “are going to surprise and that cannot yet be made public.”
In this sense, the City of Transport constitutes “a unique enclave for investment”, due to its connection to the main communication routes and the development of infrastructures such as the intermodal station promoted by the port of Tarragona.
This industrial space, whose first phase of construction began five years ago, is about to complete its development, with the construction of a new north access and a roundabout, connected to the Fontanar CM-101 road.
