Two members of the Alcañiz Judo Club have achieved first and second place in the Zaragoza-Teruel Provincial Championship for the juvenile category, which was held last Sunday in Monzalbarba. They are Adrián González, who came first in -38 kilos, and Adam El Gherbi, second in -52 kilos.
After the pandemic, explains the head of the Alcañizano club, Mónica Romeo, “we are the only judo club in the province, so we dispute the provincial championships together with the province of Zaragoza.
On the other hand, the Aragonese Judo Federation organized a technical concentration in Jaca last weekend for the infantile, cadet and junior categories. Irene Velardo, a member of the Clug Judo Alcañiz, participated in it. The objective was to bring together judokas from those categories with those classified from the community for the Spanish School Championship.
Mónica Romeo explained that “they have been two days of intense training, together with a talk to remember the most important points of the arbitration regulations.
