It seems to relive what happened five years ago but yes, this time it will end differently. Naples already knows it, enough to kick off the party. Capodichino lights up at 2.30, when the Napoli bus leaves the airport among the cheering crowd of 10,000 fans. The victory in Turin against Juve is the same that arrived in 2018, but this time the epilogue is announced: no Fiorentina, no Simeone – who by a twist of fate is now playing for Naples – no mistakes or scudetto lost in the hotel. On the contrary, the Scudetto could finally be sewn onto the Azzurri’s chest in a week’s time.
But the party has already started: at the final whistle of Juventus-Naples between the streets in the city, then at the Capodichino airport to welcome the Azzurri who had left Turin in celebration. Choirs in the changing rooms, choirs on the pitch, choirs on the bus and even on the plane, with Victor Osimhen engaged in a live social in general joy.
The fans had already gathered since midnight and waited for the bus – which took over half an hour to leave the airport – before returning home. The first of many thanks for a week that already promises to be unforgettable.
