Talor Gooch on its way to Singapore

After a stopover in Adelaide, the LIV is already back in Singapore. Winner on Australian soil, Talor Gooch got off to a good start by taking the lead in the standings at the end of this first lap, which was disrupted by the rain. The American returned a card of 64 (-7), without error, thanks to 5 birdies and 1 eagle at hole number 18, which allowed him to take the lead on the wire.

Koepka an ambush

Unlike last week, when the 31-year-old golfer had quickly built up a substantial lead, the competition is in ambush in Singapore. Four players finished this first round in 65 moves (-6) and shared second place. They are Sergio Garcia (4 birdies, 1 eagle), Brooks Koepka (6 birdies), Cameron Smith (6 birdies) and Cameron Tringale (7 birdies, 1 bogey).

Mickelson also in the race

For his part, Phil Mickelson climbed to 6th position, thanks to a card of 66 (7 birdies, 2 bogeys). At -5, “Lefty” is accompanied by Bryson DeChambeau (6 birdies, 1 bogey) and Louis Oosthuizen (1 eagle, 5 birdies, 2 bogeys). The top 10 is completed by a quartet, at -4, composed of Patrick Reed (8 birdies, 4 bogeys), Jason Kokrak (6 birdies, 1 double bogey), Mito Pereira (4 birdies) and Charl Schwartzel (4 birdies).

At the team level, HyFlyers GC took control (-12) with a small lead over Stinger GC (-11). Ripper GC, RangeGoats GC and Smash GC (-9) currently occupy the third step of the podium.
