The Spring Festival and Calle Deporte have been held this Saturday under the organization of the Este-Alcosa-Torreblanca District and the Municipal Sports Institute on Avenida Emilio Lemos for another year with great participation and the assistance of the District delegate, Juan Tomás de Aragón, and the delegate of Ecological Transition and Sports, David Guevara.

This programming started with a new edition of Calle Deporte aimed especially at children between the ages of 3 and 14 with an approach to less sports such as sitting volleyball, parkour, American football, taekwondo, soccer, badminton, parachute games, popular games, soccer, crafts and face painting workshop have been the activities proposed by clubs such as Club Deportivo Linces, Sitting Voley Sevilla, Club Deportivo Madre de Dios, Andalusian Taekwondo Federation and Universo Parkour Sevilla.

The entities of the neighborhood are once again the protagonists of the 2023 edition of the Spring Festival that distributes different tents with gastronomic and sports competitions organized by the Peña Bética Manuel Castaño as well as activities aimed at the little ones.

During the morning, the main stage presented a sevillanas workshop by Emilia Perea, performances by the Center for Active Participation of the Elderly in which the results of months of work in workshops such as tai chi were featured, and two Ibero-American parades organized in collaboration with migrant entities and associations from Seville East with the participation of people from all over the city.

The calendar of activities continues during the afternoon with the children’s animation of Piñanimación, the Gaia Choir, the Escuela de Andazas or the awards ceremony and recognition of the contests. The final touch is offered by performances by the Mar de Flamenco Dance School, the Feel the Rhythm Dance Academy and the Los Mercenarios de la Música orchestra, which completes this program until late afternoon.

The activity in the district continues this Sunday with the Preferia de Torreblanca program that aims to encourage citizen participation on the occasion of our local festivals and starts at 12:00 p.m. with the sevillanas and castanets workshops by Emi Perea and María Jesús Gordillo, performances by the Ana Torres dance academy and the Grupo de Sevillanas Azahar during the morning and continues during the afternoon with children’s entertainment, the illusion-afitor choir, and the flamenco groups Sol de Andalucía and Pura Cepa.
