“Sport beyond Sport”, the conference organized by Rugby Colorno

The conference was held on Saturday morning “Sport beyond Sport”in the Orangery of Colorno in the presence of Undersecretary of Education Paola Frassinetti he was born in Undersecretary for the Environment Claudio Barbaroat the DrMilani representing the Emilia Romagna Paralympic Committee and the Dr Antonella GualaI am representing the Italian Rugby Federation.

Minister Abodi, unfortunately absent due to institutional commitments, sent a message of greeting addressed to Rugby Colorno and to the institutions present, forcefully reiterating that “events like this are opportunities to talk about sport characterized by a strong social value. What we are experiencing is a chapter in history in which the value of knowing how to give, donate, offer generously emerges even more, and sport is a formidable tool at the service of this need: sociability and comparison, inclusion and cohesion, education and culture, solidarity e respect, competition and loyalty.”
The President of Rugby Colorno welcomed the hundreds of people present Stefano Cantons: “Sport cannot be an end in itself, in modern society sport is called to assume the role of an educational agency, a model that is capable, in a transversal way, of effectively influencing the training process of the young generations, helping them to achieve one’s dreams”. In addition to the national institutions, the Mayor of the Municipality of Colorno took part Christian Stocchithe Mayor of the Municipality of Sorbolo Mezzani Nicholas Cesarithe Councilor for Sport of the Municipality of Parma Marco Bossin a conference widely attended by the territory.

Among the topics, of particular relevance was the appeal to unify the administrative interventions of the various dicasteries present with a view to lasting and long-term sharing, as well as a greater dissemination of activities already underway, functional to an improvement of social cohesion towards a wide range of target users.
The hospitality of the event by Rugby Colorno was strongly endorsed, given the excellent development given to the proximity area through the function of youth aggregation center carried out in recent years by the reference sports club.
The Undersecretary Claudius Barbaro: “Sport beyond sport” is “…an apparently simple title but a particularly successful claim since it is able to broadly outline what I believe is happening in today’s sports panorama: a leap in quality, in the general awareness that physical activity can embrace culture, health, well-being and the environment in its broadest sense”. Senator Barbaro then reiterated the centrality of private sports associations in supporting public policies, asserting that “the effective collaboration between ministries such as those responsible for sport, health and the environment makes me believe that something is changing and that cultural revolution which concerns sport is really happening”.
The Undersecretary of Education and Merit, Paola Frassinetti instead he focused attention on the need to “reactivate the dimension of physical education within the school to prepare children for integrated psychophysical development, beyond the mere classification of the subject simply defined as motor education, or movement education”.
