Spaden Devils keep up well despite defeats

In the first duel, the Lüneburg team won 15:5. The guests were able to set some accents. So Vladimir Maier got a run in the first inning. More runs followed in the third inning from Danny Behrends, Stefan Schlicht, Robert Risch and Jason von Holten.

After a half-hour break, the second game continued. The Spadener were still highly motivated despite the first defeat. After Lennard Strunk and Vladimir Maier made their debut as pitchers in the first game, coach Patrick Ohsiek took over the position.

Shortened again in the third inning

After falling 5-0 down in the first two innings, the Devils reduced the lead to 4-5 by four runs. As in the first game, the Lüneburgers turned up the heat again and won the game 14:4 with six runs in the third and three runs in the last inning.

“The hard work during the winter break has paid off for some players,” said the Devils coach. Lennard Strunk and Vladimir Maier were able to gain their first experience as pitchers. After seven years of baseball, Stefan Schlicht made his first two runs and also stole a base.
