Softball, the Piranhas Valmarecchia together with Soroptimist in the next Serie B championship

Soroptimist and Piranhas Valmarecchia will live together the next national softball series B championship.

The president of the Rimini service club, Maddalena Gambarini, met the president of the Valmarecchia club Claudio Papini to share the goals of a support that will help face the next season, with the girls involved in a group also made up of the teams from Chieti, Grosseto , Rome, Florence and Anzio.

Against the latter there was the winning home debut last weekend on the Villa Verucchio diamond. The next home game will be on April 29 at 15.00 against Cali Roma Girls and the Soroptimist logo will appear on the girls’ uniform.

“We carry out an activity that is both sporting and social – explains the Papini President – maintaining a national softball category in collaboration with the sister company of Forlì, historical protagonist in Italy in this discipline, but also carrying out an intense youth activity to promote the practice of baseball and softball. Our facility is immersed in the Marecchia Villa Verucchio Park, it is a daily destination for very young children who carry out physical activity in the open air together with a staff of instructors. We met with Soroptimist on the same values ​​and we will be proud to have the logo on the shirts of the Serie B team that represents a reality that cares about social progress and sports promotion among young people as part of the project originated by New Rimini” .

On the other side, Maddalena Gambarini emphasizes the importance of pairing. “When I proposed the collaboration to our members, I got an enthusiastic ‘yes’. Sporting activity for young people means health and inclusiveness, integration, education in respect and team spirit. These are fundamental values ​​that the pandemic has deeply undermined by forcing many children to stay away from them. We have to recover and the Soroptimist of Rimini wants to play a role in this action”.

The Piranhas Valmarecchia company is part of the project dedicated to the promotion of softball and baseball by New Rimini Baseball Softball. Collaboration between local companies will intensify this year with the use of common instructors. Among the missions of New Rimini, that of rooting the sporting discipline in the young people of the area, establishing relationships with the clubs and offering them the opportunity to participate in training sessions with the club’s technicians ready to offer their contribution to the youth players of the clubs Associates.
