Sinner beats Carlos Alcaraz and is in the Miami final

The youngsters Jannik Sinner (21, ATP 11) and Carlos Alcaraz (19) again show a top class duel in the semifinals in Miami. This time with the better ending for the Italian.

Sinner loses the first set dramatically in the tie-break but then hits back in the second set (6:4). Sinner then clearly wins the decisive third set 6:2. He is in the final on Sunday against the Russian Daniil Medvedev.

Sinner has never won against Medvedev (ATP 5), who defeated Khachanov (ATP 16) in the other semifinal. If he manages the first success on Sunday, it would be his first Masters 1000 title.

But Carlos Alcaraz loses his number 1 position. Alcaraz would have had to successfully defend his title in Miami to remain first. From Monday, the Serb Nowak Djokovic will again be at the top of the world tennis rankings.
