referee reports homophobic chants from Flamengo fans in summary

Flamengo beat Fluminense 2-0 in the first leg of the Carioca final, and the Red-Black fans celebrated at Maracanã. However, after the expulsions of Samuel Xavier and Fernando Diniz, from Tricolor, some of the fans present chanted homophobic chants towards the opposing crowd. The episode was reported on the scoresheet by referee Wagner do Nascimento Magalhães.

By the time the chants appeared in the Maracanã stands, Flamengo had just had an extra player. Right-back Samuel Xavier came in on top of Ayrton Lucas and received a straight red card. During the complaint, Fernando Diniz was also expelled for offending the referee’s honor, as reported in the scoresheet.
