  • The Teguiseño club school has seen a notable increase in the number of students, which has allowed a renewal of almost all categories. Although this fact is valued more than positively by the club’s management, since it means that it continues to grow, year after year, the dark side of this issue is that this growth means experimenting and acquiring filming that forces the club to have to move outside Lanzarote for numerous events, with the cost, at all levels, that this entails.

Antonio Ramírez clarifies that “our double insularity is increased by the disinterest of certain public representatives. It continues to be a handicap, no matter how many years go by and, even more so, when you do not perceive interest or the slightest concern from those representatives who should watch over the rabbit sport and promote the good name of Lanzarote beyond Alegranza”.

Ramírez confirms that “it has been very complicated participate in many events without adequate and deserved support. The Costa Teguise Lanzarote Judo Club has attended several Spanish Cups as well as Grand Prix and/or Grand Slam. This caused us to have to recompose our calendars and select the trips of the club’s athletes.

Now the club enters the last quarter of the season with a calendar full of championship finals, Spanish Cups, festivals, “stages”, Personal Defense courses, degree exams and, above all, the National League of Clubs that we contested, for the seventeenth year, in the highest national category, the first division. “This year we continue to have a remarkable squad that allows us the illusion of reaching the goal of the national podium,” concludes Antonio Ramírez.
